  • 沈保根,男,19529月生于浙江省平湖市,中国科学院物理研究所研究员、稀土研究院研究员、首席科学家、博士生导师,中国科学院院士,发展中国家科学院院士,第十二届全国政协委员。曾任中国科学院物理研究所党委书记、磁学国家重点实验室主任,中国科学院副秘书长兼学部主席团秘书长、院士工作局局长,中国电子学会应用磁学分会主任,中国物理学会磁学专业委员会主任等。现任中国科学院技术科学部副主任,中国科学院大学教授,中国散裂中子源科技委主任,合肥稳态强磁场装置科技委主任,中国高技术产业化研究会副理事长,中国再生资源产业技术创新战略联盟专家委员会主任,中国稀土学会磁制冷专业委员会主任,磁学国家重点实验室学术委员会主任,中国科学院磁性材料与器件重点实验室、强耦合量子材料物理重点实验室和微观磁共振重点实验室学术委员会主任,浙江省磁性材料应用技术制造业创新中心专家委员会主任,国家重点研发计划大科学装置、材料基因工程、固废资源化等专项总体专家组成员,《中国大百科全书》物理学科副主编,Chinese Physics B》、《物理学报》副主编等。

    长期从事磁学和磁性材料的研究工作,主要研究非晶态合金、稀土-铁基化合物、稀土永磁材料、稀土磁热效应材料和稀土铁氧体等的结构与磁性。研究了稀土-铁基化合物的结构与磁性以及纳米晶复相稀土永磁材料的微结构、相结构与磁性的关系,合成出多种新型稀土永磁材料,解释了稀土永磁材料的矫顽力机制和纳米复合永磁材料的磁性耦合机理;研究了稀土-过渡族化合物的晶体结构、相变、磁性和磁热效应,发现了一级相变镧铁硅基大磁热效应材料,室温最大磁熵变超过传统材料稀土釓的两倍,利用中子衍射、穆斯堡尔谱、电子结构计算和磁性测量等手段,研究了一级相变体系在相变温度附近的磁热效应,揭示了一级相变体系中大磁热效应的物理机制,给出了正确表征相分离一级相变体系熵变的方法;深入研究了非晶态合金的磁性和输运性质,解释了非晶态合金中磁性和电性的反常现象。发表学术论文600余篇,被他人引用13000余次。
